Team Vitfor OTE #ForTheWin

From World and National Champions, to those setting PBs and stepping onto the podium at a local level, Team Vitfor OTE athletes range across triathlon, distance running, TT and XCM. They are competition junkies who thrive on the challenge of race day and train #ForTheWin

Andy Brodziak, Triathlon

Andy has been racing Triathlon since 2000. Growing up in Cape Town, he started late as a triathlete but has raced every year as well as coaching for all levels under Ben Bright, the GB Head Coach.

A long distance athlete and 2 time Kona finisher, Andy now races in the 40-44 age group and has enjoyed wins in his adopted Yorkshire home at 70.3 and shorter distances.

Andy has an 8 year old son who has shown some interest in getting involved in Triathlon and may one day compete alongside his dad!

Sophie Bubb, Triathlon

Sophie has been consistently performing at the top of the Ironman age-group scene for the last 4 years and with a PB of 9hr 34, she regularly finishes amongst the pros.

Her impressive CV includes 3 Ironman overall age-group titles, 4 Ironman age-group wins, 2 age-group silver medals at the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Champs and in 2015, she was first age-grouper overall at the ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Champs.

In 2019, Sophie will be stepping up to the GB Elite team at the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Champs.

Corinne Clark, Triathlon

In 2018, Corinne won her age group at the Wales Ironman and was the first non-pro female overall, qualifying for the 2019 Ironman World Championships in Kona. This wasn’t her first qualification, but this time she hopes to compete, having seen her first two attempts dogged by injury and financial challenges.

Corinne took the women’s first place in the Ultra Triathlon 2018 (and placed third overall) and in an Ultra Off-Road Run earlier this year. She has competed in a handful of UCI Women’s races in Europe plus the National Women’s road race series in the UK and before focusing on Ironman she raced for Great Britain age group World Championships for 3 years in a row.

Eleanor Haresign, Triathlon

Eleanor is an experienced long-distance triathlete, racing in the pro ranks. In 2014 she won, on her second attempt, an Ironman distance and one of the UK’s premier events, Challenge UK.  She has also raced successfully over the half Ironman distance, with two top-ten placings at the ETU European Championships.

Despite injury struggles during the last two years, she managed to place 7th at the National 100-mile time trial Championships, and 6th pro at Edinburgh 70.3 in 2017.  Having undergone hip surgery in 2017, she’s looking to make a return to pro level racing in 2019.

Clive Kennedy-Burn, Triathlon

Retaining his Ironman 70.3 European age group title in Elsinore, Denmark and Ironman 70.3 World Championship age group title in Port Elizabeth, South Africa were the highlights of Clive’s 2018 season. And what a season!

Clive has gone from Elite Oarsman at Leander Club to the top of his adopted sport in a matter of just a few years. An ex-Marine, he rowed at elite level for over 10 years and competed for England on numerous occasions.

The 2019 season will see Clive looking to retain both 70.3 titles for the third year in a row as well has making a full distance Ironman debut.

Graham Martin, Triathlon

From GB cycling team junior to Ironman triathlete, Graham’s successful sport-switch is proof that old dogs can learn new tricks! After a 14 year break, Graham returned to competitive sport, hungry for the triathlon challenge.

Through intensive training with Vitfor Performance Director, Craig Stevenson, Graham took his initial Ironman PB from over 11 hours to 9 hours 34 minutes in Barcelona 2017.

Amy Souter, XCM

Amy is our XCM rose among the triathlon thorns! Crowned British Cycling 2017 XCM National Champion having only started cycling some four years previously, Amy discovered her new passion following a period of ill health.

A broken leg followed her 2017 title and so 2018 was a tough year although she did compete in the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon European Championships in the elites representing Team GB. She also placed top 10 in the gruelling UCI Mountain Bike Ultra Marathon European Championships.

She hopes to race the World Championships in 2019 having given-up her previous opportunity in favour of a charity tandem ride across South America.
